Where did you come from? Tell us your story.

In June of 2005 a nurse went to do a home visit for an elderly patient in a trailer park in Florida.  The elderly patient told the nurse that someone knocked on her door and asked if she wanted me.  I was 6 weeks old.  The woman had said no but they left me outside her door anyway.  For two weeks I camped out next to the trailer in the blazing sun and heat.  There was an old rusted scooter tipped up against the trailer and I used that as my shelter during thunderstorms.  Luckily, the nurse that visited decided to take me with her and find a home for me.  The nurse worked for an agency where Elizabeth Cutter (my mom) worked.  She took me to the office and everyone came outside to meet me and I picked Elizabeth.

Where did you come from? Tell us your story.

Blaze: I was very lucky to be rescued from a high-kill shelter in Upson county, GA by Atlanta Lab Rescue.  A volunteer for ALR went to the shelter pick-up another dog.  Fortunately, I was in the kennel across from that dog and caught the eye of the volunteer, who thought I was cute and “labby” enough to be part of their program.  So, they sent a volunteer to get me the next day. I was then fostered by Michael and Elizabeth for 4 months.  People kept passing me up at adoption days because I am half red-nosed Pit-Bull, which frightens some people. My fosters decided they couldn’t possibly part with me and I was adopted by them.

What is your biggest fear?

Loud music, Bands
