May the Fur be With You
Where did you come from? Tell us your story.
I was less than 6 weeks old, staying at the Williamsburg Virginia Humane Society when my mom came and got me. The people there told her I was a grey boxer/lab – I think she believed them for about a week.
What is your biggest fear?
I don’t like lightening at all. Or the dark.
What is your fondest memory?
When my mom took me to the beach on the James River when I was a puppy. I loved to dig in the sand and get my feet wet.
What is your most embarrassing moment?
I’m a very submissive dog. Whenever I meet someone new I roll over onto my back to let them know that I’m not a threat. Once, I thought a fish my mom had just caught could be a potential playmate, so I rolled over and showed how submissive I could be. Everyone laughed at me. I’m still not sure what the problem was. I like to make new friends!
What are you most proud of?
Using the guise of ‘old age’ to get away with anything I want. My mom has become a total sucker.
What is your favorite toy, and why.
Any toy that holds a treat, like a Kong or a bone with filling, because TREATS!
If you could chase anything, what would it be?
I love to chase chipmunks!!! I even stand above their homes and bark to tell them to come out so we can play!
What’s your favorite food or treat?
I love ALL TREATS.
Do you wear clothes? If so, what’s your favorite outfit.
No. I do not like clothes at all. I can’t walk or move at all if I’m wearing something. It’s very confusing.
Are you named after anyone? How did you get your name?
Mom accidentally named me after Macy Gray. She didn’t listen to her at the time, and decided to go ahead and buy one of her albums to make sure it wasn’t a bad idea. But it was good, because Macy Gray is a badass woman, and so am I.
If you could be someone famous, who would you be?
I wouldn’t want to be famous. I’m not a fan of too much attention from people I don’t know.
What kind of music do you listen to?
Obviously I like Macy Gray. I don’t like Eminem. Otherwise I’m not picky.
Do you have a girlfriend/boyfriend? What are they like?
Nope. Just an annoying little brother.
What is the weirdest object found destroyed in your home that you left for your human?
Once, my grandmom left her straw hat on the floor, and I chewed into so many tiny pieces and threw it all over the room. It was unrecognizable when I was done with it.
Can you do any tricks, if so, what?
I can do all of the usuals: sit, lie down, come, and stay. I also roll over – and roll back the other way. When I was younger I’d do ‘circus dog’ where I stood up on my back legs and did circles. I can also hold a treat on my nose, then toss it up in the air and catch it in my mouth! (Mom had a lot of time on her hands when I was a puppy.)
If you could travel anywhere, where would you go?
Somewhere that it snows. I love snow, but I’ve only seen it a handful of times.
What’s your idea of happiness?
All treats. All the time. And belly rubs. Then more treats.
What is your present state of mind.
I’m chill. Very Zen.
Whats your favorite motto or quote?
“Do you want a treat-treat?”
Do you have any major distinguishing characteristics, if so what are they?
I think my ears are my most notable feature. They are pretty great.
Anything else you’d like to tell us, or add any new questions you think people would like to know about you??
I don’t like to swim. So please don’t throw me in the pool or the lake. Thanks.
